Deleting Your Data
This page explains how to delete your account and your data in Euphia (Euphia: Astrology & Journal), developed by Seyfettin Yıldırım.
Euphia has no accounts — no username, no password, no email. Deletion therefore happens inside the app itself, and takes effect immediately.
How to delete
- Open Euphia.
- Go to the Profile tab in the bottom navigation.
- Under SETTINGS, tap Delete Account.
- In the confirmation dialog, tap Delete Permanently.
This cannot be undone. The moment you confirm, your data is erased from both your device and our servers, and the app reopens completely empty.
If you can no longer access the app — a lost phone, or you already uninstalled — write to euphiaapp@gmail.com. Because Euphia is anonymous we need a way to match your request, so where possible write from the device you used.
What is deleted
Confirming permanently deletes all of the following:
- Your birth details (date, time, place) and your computed birth chart
- Every relationship you added, with its charts and compatibility calculations
- Your journal entries, mood check-ins, and Time Machine memories
- Every reading, report and history record written for you
- Your notification registration and device identifier
- The records we keep to track your subscription status
- The entire local database on your device
These records are removed from our live systems without undue delay. Copies that remain in our technical backups are purged automatically within 30 days; during that window the backups exist for disaster recovery only and are never restored into the app.
What is not deleted, and for how long
To be honest, a few records survive deletion:
- Purchase records. Payment and invoice records for your subscription are held by Google Play. Google retains them for its own legal and financial obligations. We cannot delete them.
- Crash reports. Technical records created when the app crashes (device model, stack trace) are stored separately from your identity, are never linked to your birth data, and are kept for up to 90 days.
- Security and abuse logs. Minimal server-side records (IP address, AI usage counts, rate limiting) are kept to prevent abuse for up to 90 days.
- Aggregate usage analytics. If you enabled analytics, statistical usage data not tied to your identity follows the provider's default retention (typically up to 14 months).
None of these can be used to re-identify you or reconstruct your profile. The full retention table is in the Privacy Policy.
Cancel your subscription separately
Important: deleting your account does not stop your subscription. Euphia Pro is billed through your app store and can only be cancelled there. Cancel before you delete:
- Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Euphia Pro → Cancel
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Euphia Pro → Cancel
If you do not cancel, the store keeps billing you even though your data is gone.
Export first, if you want a copy
Profile → Export My Data gives you every record as a file. This is not possible after deletion.
